Objectives
Provide program support for Extension educational initiatives by collaborating with youth, volunteers, and professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate high-quality educational experiences. This position promotes positive youth development through Youth-Adult Partnerships and research-based programming that builds communication, leadership, citizenship, and learning skills while supporting the successful delivery of county Extension programs.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance the Iowa 4-H mission and vision.
- Support and co-lead existing youth clubs and club activities
- Support initiatives for year-round county recruitment and retention strategy geared toward community and corporate volunteers.
- Promote 4-H state and county programs, events, and activities, working with local partners and media.
- Communicate effectively and build relationships with the County Extension Council, youth, families, volunteers, other extension staff and community partners.
- Represent Iowa State University, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, and Iowa 4-H professionally and positively.
- Collect, analyze, and share county data to ensure program effectiveness.
- Implement programs in accordance with state and federal guidelines and policies and share with volunteers and community partners.
- Administer evaluations and share impacts with County Extension Council and partners.
Additional Information
SUPERVISOR: Regional Director
REPORTING: Reports directly to and receives direction from the Regional Director with input from the county extension council.
Travel is considered part of the position. A personal vehicle for that transportation would be used and travel mileage will be reimbursed by the Extension Office at the current IRS rate.

Benefits
County extension employees are eligible to participate in the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS). The council will contribute to IPERS as required by law, for those meeting participation requirements.
Employees working less than full time will receive holiday pay according to their percentage of full-time employment.
